Frequently asked questions

What kind of damage can be fixed?

The most common successes are PDFs with a broken cross-reference table, downloads that were cut off slightly, or files saved imperfectly by another app.

Why couldn't my PDF be recovered?

If the parts holding the page content are missing or overwritten, nothing is left to rebuild. You are told so, and no empty file is handed to you.

Will every page come back?

Not always. Pages whose data is still intact are recovered; pages whose data is damaged may be missing or appear only partly. Always check the result before deleting the original.
