Frequently asked questions

Is the patient's name printed in the PDF?

No. The PDF holds only the images. The name, date of birth, medical record number, and other metadata in the DICOM file are not copied into the PDF.

Can this PDF be used for diagnosis?

It is not recommended. The PDF shows the images at one brightness setting and without measuring tools, so it suits viewing and sharing, not replacing a DICOM viewer at a healthcare facility.

Why was my DICOM file rejected?

Some DICOM files contain no images, such as structured reports or treatment plans. Files like that have nothing to print and are rejected with a notice.
