Frequently asked questions

When should I pick PNG instead of JPG?

PNG keeps every pixel as it is, so small text, lines, and diagrams show no smudging. JPG gives smaller files and suits pages full of photos.

Can the page background be transparent?

No. Pages are drawn on a white background, just as they look in a PDF reader.

Why are my PNG files large?

PNG does not discard detail, so its size depends on the resolution and on what the page contains. Lower the resolution to 150 DPI, or choose JPG for pages with pictures.
