AutoCAD to PDF: convert DXF drawings to PDF

Print DXF technical drawings to PDF, including model space and every layout, without installing AutoCAD.

Accepted formats: DXF.

Only DXF is accepted; save DWG drawings as DXF first. SHX fonts are replaced with a similar system font.

How to convert AutoCAD to PDF

  1. Add files

Choose a DXF file, or drag it onto the upload box. DWG drawings need to be saved as DXF from your CAD application first.

  2. Convert

Press Convert. Model space and every layout in the drawing are redrawn as PDF pages.

  3. Download

Download the PDF. Model space and each layout sit on pages of their own.

Frequently asked questions

Why are DWG files not accepted yet?

Reading DWG needs a library we cannot run on our server yet. In AutoCAD, use Save As and pick DXF; other CAD applications usually offer DXF in their export menu.

Will SHX fonts look the same?

AutoCAD's SHX fonts are replaced with a similar system font, so letter shapes can differ slightly while the text stays in place.

What about DWF or DWFX files?

They are not supported. Neither format has an open-source reader; export the drawing as DXF, or straight to PDF, from your CAD application.
