Unit conversions, the Excel formula board, and most image conversions are computed entirely on your device. Those files never leave the browser, and our server does not know you converted anything.

Video, audio, documents, PDF tools, and some image conversions need programs that can only run on a server, so those files are uploaded. Both the original file and the result are kept for at most 2 hours, and are deleted a few minutes after you download the result. We do not open, copy, or share them.

HEIC photos turned into PDF are among them: they are uploaded and handled exactly like the other files above. Turning HEIC into another image format is still done on your device.

A password you type to lock or open a PDF is sent only with that job and held in memory while the job runs. It is not stored on the server or in your browser, it is not written to logs, and it never appears in the page address. That is also why we cannot recover a forgotten password.

Text and patterns you ask to redact are treated the same way as passwords. Documents being redacted usually contain personal data, so download the result right away and check it before you share it; the original and the result are still deleted under the rules above.

A PDF made from a DICOM file contains only the images. The patient's name, date of birth, medical record number, and other metadata in the DICOM file are not copied into the PDF.

There are no accounts, so no names, emails, or passwords are stored. The server records IP addresses and request times temporarily in order to limit abuse.

Your theme preference is kept in your own browser and is never sent anywhere.

This site loads Histats to count visit statistics, such as the number of visitors, the pages opened, and the approximate country of origin. Histats receives your IP address and basic browser information and may store cookies. The Histats script may also load pixels from its data partners, such as Eyeota and 33Across, which use third-party cookies for advertising purposes. The files you convert are never sent to Histats or its partners. The site shows no ads, and fonts are served from our own server, not from a third-party CDN.

When you start a conversion that is uploaded, the page loads Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm that the request comes from a person and not an automated program. Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic browser information for that check. The script is not loaded while you are only reading the page.
