Frequently asked questions

Which level should I choose?

Medium suits most documents: the size drops clearly and images stay sharp on screen. Choose Strong for strictly limited attachments, and Light if the PDF will be printed.

Why did my PDF barely get smaller?

PDFs made mostly of text, or already compressed before, have little room to shrink. An image is only replaced when its new version is actually smaller, so the result never gets worse for nothing.

Does text get blurry?

No. Text and vector graphics are not recompressed; what shrinks are the images inside the PDF and repeated data.
